Clinical Chemistry

Central laboratory of Cinical Chemistry (ÚLBLD) provides mainly both routine and statim servis within General hospital and other medical institutions.

CL ÚLBLD provides a broad range of biochemical examinations, and so their specialized services are used also by other clinical departments all over the country. The close contact with the clinical departments enables a tide cooperation in several thematic topics: thyreopathy in pregnancy, screening of chromosomal aberations and tumor markers. Another topic is concerned with the acute states of critical ill patiens – the possibilities of laboratory diagnostic of inflammation, evaluation of new biomarkers of sepsis, problematics of parentrelal and enteral nutrition. It also deals with vitamins and trace elements.

Besides this profilation, the employees of the central laboratory takes an active part in grant projects in clinical evaluation and research within the grant agencies of Czech Republic and the European Union.
